The wellness lifestyle
Do you know what it takes for complete wellness? Do you know there are 8 dimensions to wellness, which should be fulfilled in order for you to feel balanced and complete? Wellness is the absence of disease in the body, but not only that, the overall feeling of physical, mental and emotional wellness. This will determine the overall state of wellness in the body. When these are not in balance with each other, we can feel unwell. This lesson will teach the 8 dimensions to wellness, and how to balance them with the introduction to alternate therapies.
Introduction to aromatherapy
Plants are natures healers. Essential oils are powerful extracts that can evoke physiological, mental and emotional responses. These are powerful partners in creating and maintaining emotional health. This lesson is going to introduce essential oils, how they can be applied to the body, and the safety guidelines when using essential oils.
Introduction to reflexology
Reflexology dates back over 5000 years, although it cannot be traced back to one such civilization. Reflexology is based on the principal that every organ in the body is reflected in certain areas of the feet, hands or ears. By stimulating these points, the flow of energy through the body, which will target illness or stress, can be increased. This lesson is going to introduce reflexology, and how it came about as an alternate treatment. It will include what can be expected from a treatment and will introduce you to the different zones and maps of reflexology. It is mind blowing to think that the whole body can be represented on the feet.
Ayurvedic healing
Ayurveda is considered one of the oldest healing therapies. Originating in India over 5000 years ago, Ayurveda means the science of life, or alternately referred to as the mother of all healing. Ayurvedic therapy relies on prevention of diseases and rather wants to achieve body balancing through the mind, diet, lifestyle and the use of herbs. This lesson is going to introduce what Ayuverdic healing is, and then look at the top herbs that are used in an Ayuverdic diet, and lastly took at the different Ayuverdic treatments.
The basics of the body
From what we have learned in the previous 4 lessons, we need to balance the body, but in order to do that, we need a better understanding of how the body works. The body is made up of millions and trillions of cells, that all need to work in harmony with each other for proper functioning. This lesson will give the basics to the building blocks of the body and introduce the different organs and systems of the body, and how they work in harmony with each other to bring about balance.

The most relaxing part of any service is the massage, and there are so many good benefits to a regularly performed massage. Massage is regarded as one of the oldest health care services known to humans. Today, there are above 80 different types of massage treatments with emphasis on different body parts and type of treatment. In this lesson, we are going to introduce different massage movements, and different massage techniques, so that you can incorporate it into your daily routines, and what effects it has on the systems of the body
